Indoor target and league
$700 to $1,400Twenty yards at a paper face, every Tuesday from October to March. The equipment is built for repeatability rather than speed, so it is long, heavy, and slow, and none of that matters at twenty yards. This is also the cheapest way to find out whether you like archery, because the same bow will shoot a league for ten years.
- Long axle to axle, 34 inches and up
- Low draw weight, 40 to 50 pounds
- Heavy stabiliser, front and side
- Fat arrows, 2314 and similar
- Scope with a clarifier, not pins
Wrong for you if you are buying one bow and the real plan is deer season. A target rig is a poor woods bow and you will replace it.
